Day Trip: Bombay Sapphire Tour in Laverstoke

Updated: 2 days ago

Its my mum's 70th and so I surprised her with a tour of Bombay Sapphire in Laverstoke for her birthday.

We were lucky that our menfolk chauffeured, however there is a shuttle bus to and from Overton train station should you be wanting to travel on public transport.

Myself, mum and her group of friends took the afternoon off to while away our time touring the Bombay Sapphire distillery, see how the botanicals that make this famous gin are grown and do a sniff test of all the botanicals to see which we like and which we don't like. You mark your favourite choices on the card and at the end of the tour that will tell the bartender what your favourite cocktail is. Mine was delicious, as were three others we decided to have after! The bar is lovely and a great place to while away the afternoon with your favourite girlfriends. Suitably lubricated it took me no dissuasion to avoid the gift shop, where I bought a souvenir cocktail book and a gin measuring device as I am prone to making them on the strong side!
