Nature Activities: Making a Mini-Pond

Any of you that have young children will know that constant activity is required (when in the van or not!!) The age gap of my children currently (7 and 4) can sometimes present an issue but this was a good nature activity that both enjoyed and often when camping in the UK very accessible - just remember to bring Wellies, a net and a reasonably large container.

My eldest did the big wading to grab the fishes from the reeds but in the shallow bits my 3 year old also had a go, then both enjoyed looking at what they caught in their mini-pond before safely depositing all creatures back where they came from.
